Affordable, Well-Built and With Solid Entertainment Features
This elliptical machine is truly a treat for health buffs, fitness enthusiasts or simply anyone looking to change their sedentary lifestyle to a healthy one without hurting their pockets, as it’s a great home exercise equipment for people on a tight budget.
Despite its very affordable price tag, this machine is quite competitive with its smooth and quiet operation. It comes with an edgy brake system and 16 different levels of resistance to help you challenge yourself further. It uses magnets to create resistance, which is usually found in higher-end and more expensive models.
Though it comes with a very easy-to-use console, strong entertainment features, and high quality screen display, you may be surprised of how affordable its price tag is. This makes this machine always worth considering.
Another strong aspect of this machine is its great console display, a strong console that features a quick-start button, built-in cooling fan, and a rack for resting reading materials, or a tablet. It also shows the calories you have burned in your workout, distance and total distance traveled, speed and workout duration, among other things. With all these display features, you won’t have problems tracking down your workout.
Why Get this Elliptical Machine?
There are two reasons why you should get this elliptical machine – it is easy to use and durability. The control console comes with entertainment features, and handy extras for exciting and more enjoyable workouts. The display shows the information you need to know the status of your workout.
Design wise and ergonomically speaking, this machine provides a thorough and stable workout.
This machine emphasizes on its BioDyne Performance, a patented feature that offers oversized stabilizers and levelers built for a solid workout platform.
The 18-in stride length is quite a standard for many mid-range machine today, however, taller individuals may find a hard time making long strides with this machine, as it’s quite limiting the range of each stride.
All in all, this machine is not stuffed with all the features you might want to see from a top-end machine, but it does have the basics for a good workout.

A great workout,
The Schwinn 420 provides a great workout and has a natural rhythm so it feels comfortable to use. It was a little tricky to put together and the console’s electrical connector required some manual labor to fix, but once it was done it was a breeze to use. The fan doesn’t work very well and the background display can be hard to read in low light, but it’s still well worth the low cost compared to the next step up in ellipticals. After trying this elliptical in the store ($50 more) we ordered it off Amazon. Love it. I have been exercising for years and needed something for home (mommy of two small children). This is a sturdy machine. I have owned an elliptical before and you get what you pay for. This machine glides beautifully. My only complaints are the readout screen is almost impossible to see. I don’t know why they didn’t make it to light up. Read more at Amazon.com…
By Constant Interest
I looked at other ellipticals before buying this one. The construction was clearly superior and was pleased to discover that this machine was made for Schwinn by Nautilus. I didn’t find any problem with the stride length nor did my wife (I’m 5’10″ and she’s 5″7″). I have a suspicion that people who complained about the reach to the handles either had really short arms or managed to switch the handles (right to left, etc) during assembly so that the curved part faced away from them. One recommendation about assembly: A ratchet wrench or an electric screwdriver with an allen bit is a huge time saver. Read more at Amazon.com…
